Costs

Fixed Fee: £1500-£5,000 plus VAT 20%. Average price £3000 plus VAT 20%. The costs are likely to be at the lower end range if the case is a free-standing wrongful dismissal case or a straightforward unfair dismissal case.

  • Entering into pre-claim conciliation to explore settlement possibilities

  • Preparing claims or responses

  • Reviewing and advising on the other party’s submissions

  • Exploring settlement and negotiating throughout the process

  • Preparing or considering schedule of loss/Remedy Statement

  • Document exchange and bundle preparation

  • Taking witness statements and preparing documentation

  • Preparation and attendance at Final Hearing, including instructing Counsel

Timeline

The time that it takes from taking your initial instructions to the final resolution of your matter depends largely on the stage at which your case is resolved. If a settlement is reached during pre-claim conciliation, your case is likely to take 4 – 8 weeks. If your claim proceeds to a Final Hearing, your case is likely to take 8 – 12 months.
